September is that time of year when we begin planning for Christmas. Christmas at LCH is a very special time of year for us. Our staff and volunteers try to stay on top of the gift donations received and the outstanding gift needs on a daily basis. We are so very thankful for the many ways in which our community is involved in making Christmas special for each child in our care.

As community individuals, church and civic groups and businesses work to schedule December events, we want to help you plan ahead by providing some information and guidelines for those of you planning a group gift/donation collection event. Please call April Joplin, Director of Community Development at 803-286-5277. We welcome your gift ideas and can provide specific gift needs and wish list items for your group. We maintain a Christmas Donations log each year to list items being provided and avoid excess of the same items and ensure that each child receives correct sizes and items on their wish lists. There are certain items that are not allowed on our campus or that have to be stored behind a locked door, and other guidelines that we follow when accepting gifts. We ask that you review the flyer below for these details, call us to sign up and to schedule a drop-off date and time frame for your Christmas gifts delivery.

Christmas at LCH may be the first time that many of the children in our care will received a Christmas gift. It is our mission to provide our friends in the community, who reach out to us with a heart to help, the information needed to make Christmas special for each child.
