{"id":9,"date":"2014-04-23T14:02:34","date_gmt":"2014-04-23T14:02:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.lancasterchildrenshome.com\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2023-08-09T20:28:53","modified_gmt":"2023-08-09T20:28:53","slug":"programs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lancasterchildrenshome.com\/?page_id=9","title":{"rendered":"Our Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">The Lancaster Children&#8217;s Home is committed to providing comprehensive problem-solving services in the most effective and least restrictive setting possible.&nbsp; Our full array of services allows us to offer programs from a wide variety of settings and problem-solving modalities while our goal is to keep families together whenever possible.&nbsp; If the reunification of family is feasible for the child, we strive to reunify a family as soon as possible by providing the child and family the tools they need to live together successfully.&nbsp; If reunification of the family is not in the best interest of the child, LCH utilizes available resources to best prepare the child for their next stage in life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Our program highlights include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Teaching children how to be responsible and how to make positive choices for themselves.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Teaching each child how to identify internal and external controls and how to respond to each.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Preparing each child to learn independent living skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Providing qualified staff for individual, group and family problem-solving sessions, as needed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Supporting school attendance and encouraging participation in available sports and other recreational programs and clubs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Partnering with educational institutions, such as, the Lancaster County School District to provide a tutoring program, which begins each school year and continues throughout the summer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Incorporating community into our program to expose the children to culture, agriculture and spiritual experiences.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Utilizing volunteer strengths to provide training in life skills, such as cooking, managing finances, personal care and hygiene management, and job seeking skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Having fun!
